' The Legend ' brings stability at the top : Pollock

Mumbai Indians coach Shaun Pollock said with the return of Sachin Tendulkar his side has the stability at the top of batting order.

Pollock said that history of Twenty20 cricket shows that batsmen at the top four slots dominate and score runs.

"No doubt Sachin brings with him a wealth of experience. He brings stability at the top.
Among the foreign players in the team, Malinga was an automatic choice, Pollock said.

In the bowling department, Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga still has a back problem, Pollock said, adding that the team was missing his services.

With skipper Harbhajan Singh expressing his unhappiness with the team's fielding effort, the former South African all-rounder felt that good catches and stops undoubtedly put the opponents under pressure and this was one area they need to improve further.

On Harbhajan not achieving much success in IPL 5, Pollock said, "He (Harbhajan) is a good bowler and his time will come. I am sure he will come into his own."

Asked about Munaf Patel's verbal duel issue, he said the pacer was passionate about his game. Pollock, however, had a word of advice for Munaf, saying he should be careful that he does not "go overboard".

Pollock also defended top order batsman Rohit Sharma getting out to an irresponsible shot in the previous game against KXIP in Mumbai, saying such was the nature of his game and he did not play "out of character shot".
